I made a project for myself this holiday, just in case I didn’t have enough to do, to capture black and white pictures of New York City at Christmas. I had a couple of trips into the city anyway so the camera came along.

I noticed a couple of things as I shot the pictures…

…There are some larger than life decorations (these were for Mariah Carey’s show).

…Little shops pop up everywhere!

…stores and their windows become magical.

…Sidewalks become “tree farms”

…like I said, Christmas decorations become larger than life.

…At night the lights are not only magical but look like their from a classic movie.

…Adults become children as they admire the decorations.

…Parks turn into ice skating rinks.

…Christmas doesn’t stop the New York rush.
