Sister love! Ben’s brother and our sister-in-law recently had their 3rd girl!! It reminds me so much of my sisters and me 🙂 I get nostalgic and a little jealous thinking of the years ahead of the three of them growing as sisters into best friends: the playing and make believe, the fun, the fights, seeing each other graduate, being in each other’s weddings and so much more.

Ben and I have been super careful and quarantined because we knew our sister-in-law, Laura, and soon my sister were having babies and we wanted to be able to photograph their newborn sessions during Covid-19. Ben fortunately has been getting tested for work, we wore N-95 masks and washed our hands while we were inside their house. I was also prepared with gloves and a fresh set of washed clothes inside a sealed bag to change into, but they didn’t feel the need for the last two. I wanted to make sure they were completely comfortable with Ben and I being inside their house while we photographed their PA family newborn session.

I loved photographing Evelyn at one week old. But what was really special was being some of the first ones to meet her.

Hailey is the oldest and then Chloe. When I photographed Chloe’s newborn session it was a little tough because Hailey wasn’t used to being an older sister. But Hailey is a pro now and Chloe is excited to be a big sister like Hailey. They were the sweetest with Evelyn and love holding her and giving her kisses.

Once we were done taking pictures with Hailey and Chloe they went to play with Uncle Ben while I got some shots of Laura & Matt with Evelyn.

And then it was time for some pictures of just Evy. I like calling her Evy because it goes with Hailey and Chloe. Laura also calls her Ev. I’m sure she’ll have lots more nicknames.

I really love trying to photograph newborns within a week since they’re smaller, like to sleep more and are still pretty easy to position. It worked out perfectly that we were driving back to New York from Pittsburgh and could stop to photograph Evy in this PA family newborn session.

I also love getting pictures of all their tiny features!
