This weekend I had the great pleasure of capturing the Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley‘s 4th Annual Footsteps for Families Walk. (Whew, that was a mouthful!) They raised a bunch of money for the house and so that families can stay there while they take care of their children in the hospital. It was truly uplifting to see so many people come out to support such a great cause!
Around 50 volunteers showed up to make sure everything went smoothly.
DJ Johnny G kept everyone going from the set up, during the event and during the tear down.
Officer Chris Gutierrez from the Westchester County Police K-9 Unit did a demonstration with his partner, Jax, an 18 month German Shepard.
It was interesting to see all of Jax’s training, but let’s be honest, I just wanted to snuggle him 🙂
There were all kinds of activities to keep the kids busy before and after the walk.
Ronald McDonald even showed up!
Jeanine from the Ronald McDonald house did a great job organizing the event and making sure everything went smoothly. Plus Carol Ann and members of Penny Lane Dance Academy warmed up the crowd.
Mike Bennet from 100.7 WHUD emceed and Vanessa Racci sang the national anthem.
Ronald McDonald led walk…. poor guy had to wear those shoes the whole way!
Penny Lane also cheered on the walkers and then performed after the walk.
It was chilly in the morning, but it turned out to be a beautiful day!
Everyone stuck around after the walk to enjoy all the activities.
Wacky Inflatables brought a bounce house and a basketball inflatable for the kids.
Princess for a Lifetime also came out to do crafts with the kids…. there was lots of paint and glitter 🙂
Thank you to the staff of the Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley for organizing such a wonderful event and all your hard work!
