Christine + Jonathan are friends of ours from our church, Awaken. They’re expecting their little boy in June and wanted some maternity pictures along the Hudson River. So we went to Rockefeller State Park Preserve for a Rockwood Hall Maternity Session.
You might remember that I recently shot at Rockwood Hall for Genesis + Josh’s Engagement Session. When I shot their engagement session this Weeping Willow tree was bare, but just a couple weeks later and this tree had all of it’s leaves. It was so pretty!
Oh I love taking pictures in between Weeping Willow tree leaves!
The tree’s branches made a perfect arch for a Momma-to-be portrait : )
Christine’s cute dress is from Banana Republic. It makes me want one for myself since it isn’t a maternity dress.
One of my favorites!
We started the beginning of the session at the Weeping Willow tree and before we even took one picture Jonathan decided to try and jump on a branch to sit on it. He blames his tight pants and the fact that we had Chipotle right before, but he missed the branch and landed on his ankle wrong. He took a minute to recover, but he said he was fine to keep going so we walked all over that park. Later that night he posted on Facebook a very big swollen ankle. I felt so bad for making him walk so much… but the walking pictures came out really well!
Rockwood Hall has a really great view of the Hudson River.
Cute little Buttercup flowers : )
Laughing pictures are my favorite.
I think this is my favorite picture! I love a good black and white.
Jonathan does magic and he always seems to have a deck of cards on him. Christine tends to be the quiet assistant that you didn’t realize was helping until the end. Although I think Jonathan might have a new little assistant soon!
Yay! I can’t wait to meet their little boy!
