This past fall I second shot a Villa Venezia wedding for Mekina Saylor that was classic, but had just the right amount of sparkle, glam and a little something extra. From the bride’s dress, to the bridesmaids’ shoes and all the way to the sparklers at the end of the night this wedding. You could even tell that the Bride and Groom had something a little extra special about them by they way had so much fun together.

I loved the ruffles and the sequins on this dress! Wait until you see how the Bride changed her dress at the reception.

Since i was second shooting for Mekina I spent most of my time with the Groom as he got ready.

I like when grooms have little details that help customize their tuxes. The Groom had Hulk and Spiderman cufflinks at this wedding.

It was a cold and kind of damp fall day, but it felt like spring inside with this white floral arbor.

The Bride certainly made an entrance to the wedding ceremony.

I like when ceremonies aren’t so serious and there’s a little laughter. It allows for the ceremony feel more like the couple.

We did get to take some portraits outside.

The back of the Bride’s dress had beautiful detailing too.

The inside of the Villa Venezia was classically decorated with black and white as well.

See what I mean about the dress? She took the ruffles off the bottom of the dress and put on a fascinator. Such a good way to switch up a look for the reception.

The Bride and Groom were too cute and had so much fun together. It was so fun to watch and take pictures.

And then the sparklers came out!

We actually did the sparklers with just the bridal party and it worked out so well for the pictures.
