I shot this Skylands Manor wedding with Mekina and it is just all so classic. I feel like in 30 years the bride and groom will look back and it’ll all still be pretty relevant even then.
The groom got ready at Skylands Manor where the reception was held. I actually pulled the groom into this room to get ready because there was just so much light!
I thought it was really special that both the groom’s mom and dad were there to help him get ready.
As the second shooter, I don’t normally get to meet the bride until right before the ceremony. Oh boy did she look pretty! Just wait until the portraits where you’ll see the detail in her dress.
Married!
I love these shots with the car! So classic!
Skylands Manor is actually located in the New Jersey Botanical Garden and has such beautiful grounds.
Look at that detail in the lace!
I know that sequins dresses are popular right now and are getting to be overdone. However, I love the little bit of sparkle it adds to this wedding.
Such beautiful architecture!
My favorite image from the day!
How many women does it take to bustle a dress? hahaha Some of those bustles can be intense!
The groom was from the south there they do groom’s cakes. I love that tradition! I actually did a Penn State groom’s cake for Ben.
These two were so much fun and loved to do a little Texas two-step!
I love the shot of the dress twirling!
We ended the night be going outside for some nighttime shots.
I love shooting with Mekina! She’s always full of energy and we have so much fun on wedding days!
