Spark is a group of Christian women photographers in New Jersey that get together weekly to support one another and to discuss their faith. I’m not able to go every week since I’m located in New York and it’s a bit of drive, but I love these girls and try to go as often as I can. At the end of March, Spark held their 3rd free photography workshop, Ignite, to love and serve other photographers in the area.

Nadine, a Spark member, opened up her home and hosted around 50 photographers. Nadine was actually an attendee to Spark’s 2017 Ignite Workshop and then joined Spark.

There was breakfast provided while everyone arrived and got comfortable.

There were 5 teachers and 7 helpers from Spark.

Our 5 teachers for the day: Cassi, Amy, Debbie, Mekina and Jess did a wonderful job putting the whole day together and organizing it so that it went seamlessly.

Steph from Tone Media recorded the whole day and put together an awesome video of the day.

Cassi spoke on 5 ways to wow with your website.

Mekina spoke on creating connections to grow your business.

Debbie spoke about off camera flash and reception lighting.

Amy spoke about trusting God with big life changes.

Then we all went outside to hear Jess speak about posing and “all the feels”. Jess also organized the whole styled shoot which was FULL of color! But more on that in another blog post 🙂

Kerry did all the florals for the styled shoot and also gave a little tutorial to everyone on bouquets.

After the classes there were 5 different stations to go around and photograph.

And the final photograph from the day! It was so awesome to have so many photographers all all working together and learning from each other.
