Lexi + Zack were the winners of my free engagement session on Instagram for my 5 year anniversary! They live in Rochester, NY and came all the way down to NYC for their session. Lexi used to live in NYC and Zack would visit so we hit up some of their favorite spots and also did some exploring for their Greenwich Village engagement session.

We began the session by meeting at 55 Bar, where they used to love to go and listen to music.

Then we headed to the exact spot on Grove Street where Zack proposed to Lexi.

Lexi remembered the exact spot because as Zack proposed she remembered seeing the colorful lights from the building across the street behind Zack. Hence the photo on the right.

I loved walking around the Village because there were so many architectural details and brownstones. Plus these two are so adorable and were so easy to photograph.

Thank you to whoever’s front steps we used! It’s funny how in the city it doesn’t seem so weird to do this, but if we were in the suburbs it would definitely be awkward.

Such a nice classic engagement picture!

We stoped in Washington Square park and these white flowers were too perfect not to use!

I love a couple that’s willing to break some rules for the shot and ask for forgiveness after. Although no one seemed to care that they hopped over the fence into the flowers.

We headed over to the Washington Mews because it’s one of my favorite little secret streets on NYU’s campus. Even though they’re technically row homes, they’re all different with quirky details, colorful doors and pretty greenery.

This might be my favorite from the day! You two are so cute!

Lexi is also a dancer so she knew how to do the perfect twirl. (She actually went to school in Pittsburgh which was a neat connection!).

And at the end of the cobblestone road is the cutest brick arch for pictures.

Congratulations Lexi + Zack on your engagement! I had so much fun not just shooting your Greenwich Village engagement session, but also hanging out with the two of you 🙂
