I love shooting at venues that I haven’t been to before. Highlands Country Club reminds me of The Great Gatsby  which made me love it even more. I really enjoyed 2nd shooting this Highlands Country Club wedding with Jainé from Brklyn View Photography.

If you haven’t heard of Chip and Joanna Gaines and their show Fixer Upper then you need to head on over to HGTV and watch a couple episodes of this husband and wife team and their cute little family that lives on an adorable farm and fixes up houses around Waco, TX.

At the end of May Ben and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary by going on a Trip to Texas for a week. Ben lived in Texas as a kid, but I’d never been there. We flew into Dallas Fort Worth and rented a car and visited San Antonio, Waco and Austin.

I love when families want to take portraits because life just flies by and families change so quickly. Additions are made to immediate families, babies turn into kids then teenagers and other family members are unfortunately are no longer with us.

I love where I live because within an hour radius of Westchester County there are so many different places to shoot: New York City, the beach, botanical gardens, golf courses, woods and mountains. I second shot with Mekina Saylor last summer in the “mountains” of New Jersey for this Mineral Resort and Spa wedding.
