I met my husband my freshman year of college and it’s hard to believe that we’ve already known each other for 13 years. Leslie + Renzo are only 2 years younger than us they met in middle school! They went to separate schools, but their senior year of high school they started dated and have been together ever since.

We met up in Bernardsville, NJ for their Cross Estate Gardens engagement session. We had the perfect weather, light and foliage for their engagement session… and they were ready to rock their engagement session – this was their first picture!

There’s a mansion on Cross Estate Gardens and I was of course in love with the front door 🙂

Leslie wanted a fall engagement session with the leaves changing and she picked the perfect day! A lot of people assume that late September or October is when the leaves are perfect for pictures, but it’s actually late October and the first week in November. I think we just all start getting ready for fall and Pumpkin Spice Lattes in September. hahaha

This pergola was magical! It still had the perfect amount of greenery left on it to let the light through.

I know ivy taking over structures isn’t necessarily a good thing because it can cause more damage, but it’s so beautiful. And the ivy looks ombre here, which made it even more interesting.

One of the few flowers that was left in the garden and it matched Leslie’s dress!

I love that Leslie had her hair and makeup done for the engagement session. It’s a great way to get to know the person or people that will be doing your hair and makeup on your big day. Plus, let’s be honest ladies, when we get our hair and makeup done we feel a little better about ourselves and more confident in front of a camera. Allegria Hair and Makeup did an awesome job with both Leslie’s hair and makeup!
