Guess what time of year it is?!? Yes, it’s spring. It’s also the time for warm weather and flowers popping up everywhere which means it’s time for weddings! I had my first wedding in March, but this month I have weddings (that’s plural) and engagement sessions (also plural). It’s going to be a busy one!
In April we did some traveling. We started off with Easter in Pittsburgh with my family and some friends. On the way back to New York we stopped to see my best friend’s new little boy and his big brother. On another weekend we went to see the cherry blossoms in Washington DC (bucket list item: check!), we got to see our friends from college and I took some family pictures of them. I also made it over to Spark in New Jersey for Debbie’s surprise 60th birthday celebration. Other than that it was kind of a slower month, but it was nice to stay home and get some flowers planted in our yard.
While last month was slower, May is going to be a lot busier. I have a lot of goals, but I’m not sure how they’re going to all get done.
Business Goals:
Wedding season is officially going to pick up in May. I’ve got a couple engagement sessions and I’m helping shoot some weddings with photographers.
Because of all the shooting in May, blogging is going to pick up a bit this month too. I’m excited to share everything that I’ll be shooting!
I’ll also need to keep up with all the images that will be coming in because of all the shooting.
I’m hoping to still continue editing my second shooting from last year.
I should finally finish Katelyn James’ Lighting & Locations course this month. There’s been a lot of information to go through, but I’m learning a lot that I’m excited to start using it in my engagement sessions.
I did end up submitting some of my work to blogs last month and a couple of things got accepted. Yay! Hopefully I can submit a few more things this month.
Personal Goals:
My sister’s wedding shower is at the beginning of June so it’s getting down to crunch time! I have a lot planned, but I need to actually start putting things together. I love to DIY, I just sometimes have too many ideas!
Speaking of my sister’s wedding, we’re still working on her wedding invitation suite. I need to get it all finalized for her this month.
I shot some stuff for friends and family in April so I need to actually finish editing all of it. I’m trying to do a better job keeping up with my images this year so that I’m not editing it at the beginning of 2019.
I’ve planted a good amount of stuff in our yard already, but hopefully I’ll get the rest planted at the end of the month. The weather is finally supposed to be warmer so I’m hoping that some of my plants finally start popping up!
I picked up going to they gym again in April (once I got over my cold) so I’m hoping to continue going this month.
