An Early Easter

April 18, 2014

If you don’t know much about me than let me start this post by saying that I’m originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I moved up to Westchester, New York a little under 2 years ago after my husband, Ben, and I were married. While it has always been a dream of mine to live near New York City, I never could have imagined how difficult it would be to leave my family. That’s why whenever I get the chance to go back home to Pittsburgh I jump on it! (Yes, I still call Pittsburgh my home… I think only born and raised Pittsburgh-ers can only understand how it never stops being home.)

Ben and I went back to Pittsburgh this past weekend to visit family, friends and celebrate Easter early. It was an amazing 80 degrees and boy did we enjoy it!

We taught my cousins how to do “jump pictures.”

Since it was our early Easter weekend we died eggs.

I of course had to make a pink egg! 🙂

Jackie knows I’m a Penn State fan…. I’m slowly turning her in to a Nittany Lion!

The Easter Bunny hid some eggs… Colson was amazed that he came early to hide eggs. It was so cute!

Oh my gosh I love these kids!!

Sophie had too much activity for one day!

The Easter Bunny hid our eggs too… even though we’re 26, 23 and 20 🙂

I gave Sophie an Easter egg. She held it in her mouth and didn’t crack it and didn’t want anyone near it.

We give Sophie scrambled eggs so I cracked the Easter egg and she licked it at first, took a couple of bites with her little teeth and than took the whole thing out of my hand before I could stop her!

After church we went up on Mt. Washington which overlooks the city to take pictures. It’s also where Ben proposed to me!

We didn’t coordinate our outfits, promise!

So while it might be Easter on Sunday, I kind of already feel like it happened!
