I can’t believe our family vacation has already been 2 months ago and I’m just blogging it. My mom’s side of the family goes on an annual family vacation to Long Boat Key, Fl. We all have time shares at the same place so that we can be together, but also have our own space.
The week always starts off with a “family reunion.” You’re going to see a lot of my cousin’s sweet little girl, Abigail, and her three brothers. They’re just all too cute!
This is my happy place.
We celebrated the 4th of July while we were in Florida and my immediate family was all together so I made them take a picture. They weren’t too happy about it, but I think it turned out pretty nice.
The little boys had toys called rocket copters that the big boys liked to play with.
My cousin, Stormie, was channeling her inner Merida from Brave.
Krissy and I braided all of our hair : )
Look at that little model!
Of course we had sparklers!
We spent the week going between the pool and the beach.
Some of the big kids like to throw the little kids.
My Grammy Bear and I were both showing off our hats.
And of course we eat a lot…. like A LOT! The boys loved these big cookies.
I always collect more seashells then I know what to do with. The coquina shells, or as I like to call them the butterfly shells, are my absolute favorite.
A couple of us went in my sister’s boyfriend’s convertible to Siesta Key Beach. It’s one of the top rated beaches in the world and the sand looks and feels like flour!
I purposely brought sand toys so that I could build a sandcastle with the amazing sand. And Ben was so sweet and helped me!
At night we played volleyball. And by we, I mean my family… I sat on the sidelines and captured the cool spikes… or leaps if my sister was playing.
The little ones wanted to play too!
Abigail really wanted to play!
We had a surprise graduation party for my cousin Ana. My sister and I distracted her by getting her ready to take some “portraits” while my uncle set everything up. Really we just knew she’d want to look cute for the party, but we did end up taking some portraits of Ana : )
We also celebrated Storm and my birthdays.
Sometimes we played games at night.
Our last night we went out for a nice dinner.
The three of us all had rompers on so it called for a picture. haha
I also built one last castle in the dark on our last day : ( I didn’t want to leave, Ben didn’t seem to care.
The gulf really has some of the prettiest sunsets.
I’m already counting down until July 2017! (Although I’m not counting down until my 30th birthday)
