I had a very hard time leaving Pittsburgh in July because I thought the next time I’d be back home wouldn’t be until Christmas. Thank goodness I have a very understanding husband who knows I need to see my family and friends. After my sister and her boyfriend visited us in October, I rode back with them to Pittsburgh. One of the things I was most looking forward to was going to a pumpkin patch with my best friend, Chelsy, and her two girls, Elle and Cece.
We had an absolutely beautiful day and took a hayride at Simmons Farm out to the pumpkins.
My Momma had the day off from work so she got to join us too! She was in her glory holding Cece the whole time. : )
Simmons Farm has lots of activities for kids. They even converted an old firetruck into a jungle gym.
Elle thought she was pretty special driving the firetruck.
Elle is 2 years old and pretty big into doing things herself.
And then we had a little meltdown for no reason hahaha. I felt pretty special that she only wanted me, but I had no idea how to calm her down. After about 20 minutes of Chelsy and I trying everything my mother, the preschool teacher, stepped in and distracted her within 5 minutes. If there was a mic, my mom could have dropped it.
Some food and a little break from all the fun also helped a little bit.
Elle loves giving out hugs.
I know most blog posts of kids are all perfect, but let’s be honest life is not perfect and kids are especially not perfect. They have melt downs and cry, but are also fun, silly and goofy… I love capturing all of it!
She loves counting everything.
Oh that little face! And how cute are her little boots and messy bun!
By the end someone was ready for a nap and my heart was full : )
