…just in case you didn’t know. Now let me explain. Benjamin always comes up with the best gifts for me and I really stink at giving gifts to him. (He just buys whatever he wants!) Well this year for my birthday he gave me the best gift yet (and there have been some good ones), we were getting our engagement pictures done with Katelyn James!! Oh and did I mention he even got me a dress to wear to the session? Yeah he’s that good :0) So a little back story, I’ve been following Katelyn’s work for a while…like close to when she began. Needless to say I was a little star-struck….is that sad?

So last week Ben and I drove down to Richmond to meet with Katelyn for two hours and get some engagement pictures! Woo hoo! (Ben laughed at me because when we called her to tell her we were stuck in traffic I made him do it because I was too nervous) But as soon as I saw Katelyn excitement totally took over…I even got out of the car and hugged her (as I was doing it I was like what are you doing you don’t even know her!). She was so sweet and so easy to be comfortable with that Ben and I were able to act natural and she was able to get A LOT of great shots!
