Ben and I know Lauren + Rob through a friend and I was thrilled when they reached out for me to photograph their at home, outside Fall maternity session.

Thanks to Covid-19 basically everything I’ve photographed this year has been outside, which I’m not complaining about since I’m a natural light photographer (meaning I use the sun as my only source of light). I even got to scout out Lauren + Rob’s home and yard when we went there for a friend’s party. They have a yard of my dreams! It’s hard to find a decent size yard in Westchester County, NY, but they have a big, beautiful yard!

And then on top of it Lauren had big plans for Autumn decorations! She had the epitome of Autumn decorations:  Mums, cornstalks, pumpkins and even hay bales. And they set it all up so beautifully! It was the perfect backdrop for their Fall maternity session for their baby boy that’s due soon in the middle of November.

Since I had been to their house for a party, I knew they had a decent amount of shade and their leaves were turning colors earlier than most. But Lauren and I kept in contact so that we chose the perfect day and time to capture their maternity session with the changing leaves.

Let me officially introduce Lexie the Labradoodle! She is the cutest 2 year old pup that is so well behaved and even smiles for pictures! I seriously couldn’t take a bad picture of her, I swear she knows how to pose and smile at the same time! She is so lovable and is going to be a great big sister.

I love that Lauren + Rob were willing to take direction, but then made the session their own by just being their cute selfs! You can just tell that they’re so comfortable with each other, in-love, and excited to meet their little man!

Lauren you are stunning! You are going to make a wonderful boy mom! I can just see you outside here in a year or so chasing your little boy around!

Oh my gosh little baby shoes get me every time! And these shoes are just the cutest!

Lauren + Rob had just received this wood cut out sign of their son’s name in the mail and it was too cute not to use it in some of the pictures! Its home will be in Robbie’s nursery. They showed me some pictures of his nursery and I can’t wait to see his nursery in person and get some pictures of him in it during his newborn session.

I felt bad asking Lauren to lay down on a blanket for some pictures, but I just love how they turned out!

As you can tell, Lexie is a very loved pup. (I mean it’s hard not to love her, she’s so well behaved and basically like a stuffed animal!) I can’t wait to see what she thinks of Robbie!

I had to rein myself in on the Lexie pictures, I could have made the whole shoot about her! haha I just love dogs so much and I always get excited when they’re part of a session. 🙂

Their house had so many possibilities for places to take pictures, we just slowly worked our way around their house and yard for their fall maternity session.

Robbie is going to be here before we know it and I can’t wait to take another picture very similar to this one, but with a little baby boy in their arms!
