Hurricane Joaquin came in the day before and man did it down pour. The weather said it was supposed to rain the day of wedding as well so we planned, but still secretly hoped there would be a break in the day. It was chilly and there was a little mist throughout the day, but the umbrellas stayed packed away and we ended up with no rain! And on top of it we still had the soft light like it had rained : )
You may remember Candice + Mike from their engagement session at Iona College where they met. They were married at the Immaculate Conception Church and celebrated with friends and family at the Bronxville Women’s Club.
You may also remember from their engagement session that Candice didn’t want a typical ring so instead she went with the Irish Claddagh Ring.
Here comes the bride!
I was standing on the other side of the aisle upfront by Mike. While Candice was coming down the aisle I heard Mike saying, “Oh wow look at her, isn’t she so beautiful. I can’t believe how beautiful she looks.” It made me fall in love with these two a little bit more : )
Immaculate Conception Church is beautiful! Look at that architecture!
I love little kids all dressed up!
They’re married! Officially Mr. and Mrs.!
Their guests were such troopers and waited outside in the cold and misty weather so that Candice + Mike could come out to bubbles!
Loved this little intimate spot in the back of the church. Mike said he would often stand here when he was late for mass.
We headed over to the Bronxville Women’s Club for some more pictures.
The perfect sized wedding party and they were so easy to work with!
The ring bearer was awesome!
Husband and wife!
Candice wore her grandmother’s pearls.
Time to celebrate!
Funny and heart-felt toasts were made.
Mike even got a hold of the mic : )
Both fathers shared wonderful toasts. Candice’s father shared a beautiful toast that it was a miracle that he was able to walk Candice down the aisle. She had an infection as a baby and was never supposed to walk, but at two and a half she took her first step and hasn’t let it stop her ever since.
And then the dancing began…
Even this little cutie wanted to get out on the dance floor!
I loved the ring bearer’s shirt.
There were some great moves out on the dance floor!
Tossing the baby up during “Shout”? Yes, please!
Can I have this dance?
They were very nice to each other and only a little bit of icing ended up on their faces.
Congratulations Candice + Mike! I’m so excited for the two of you and loved being able to capture such a special day. I loved seeing (and photographing) just how in love the two of you are!
