Central Park and The Loeb Boathouse have been one of my dream places to shoot a wedding ever since the movie 27 Dresses came out. And thanks to Mekina my dream came true this past summer : ) I got to help Mekina shoot a beautiful wedding on a perfect day in September.
The bride and groom had a very intimate ceremony with just their immediate families in the Conservatory Garden in Central Park.
Not only did the family watch the ceremony, but tourists passing by.
The Conservatory Garden has smaller hidden gardens right in the middle of New York City that are the perfect backdrop for a wedding.
I really loved that the bride and groom had one of their bridesmaids officiate the wedding… it reminded me of Friends : )
The bride’s little niece wanted to be a part of the ceremony too. So cute!
They’re married….
…and oh so happy!
Signing the paperwork to make it official!
After the ceremony we wandered through Central Park for portraits.
Love the NYC buildings as the backdrop!
The smaller wedding party made it easy to get through Central Park for lots of portraits.
Isn’t she beautiful? And I loved the lace on the veil!
Check out those Jimmy Choo shoes!
The groom looking very handsome.
I loved the groom’s navy tux with the black trim.
Once the bridal party pictures were done we went around the park with just the bride and groom.
They just look so happy!
We really got to hit a lot of the iconic spots.
The bride and groom met up with all their guests at The Boathouse for their reception.
The details were all so pretty.
Time to dance!
The bride did a lot of the details herself. She does really beautiful calligraphy and made their guest book/poster.
In the middle of the reception the bride changed into her traditional red dress that her mother had made.
And just incase all of that wasn’t enough, we went on a gondola ride for a couple night time portraits.
While we were shooting I caught a couple shots of Mekina doing her thing! That smile she has in the middle picture is one she has all day long because she really loves what she does. Check her work out at www.MekinaSaylorWeddings.com. Thanks again Mekina for letting me help you out!
