This past November I second shot for Mekina Saylor Weddings on an unseasonably warm day at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club in New Jersey. It was so warm that the Bride + Groom were able to not only take their portraits outside, but also have their ceremony outside.
Fiddler’s Elbow is a beautiful stone country club that is so warm and cozy inside.
I got to hang out with the Bride and her Bridesmaids for a little bit and capture a couple of their details.
Then I went over to hang out the Groom and his Groomsmen while they got ready.
The guys wore cowboy boots with their suits.
The Bride + Groom opted for a first look. How cute is she!?
The stone exterior was a perfect backdrop for portraits.
Love the buttons on the back of the dress.
We walked around the golf course to find the perfect spots for their portraits.
Love how the their ceremony site is in the background.
The best part of a fall wedding is the leaves!
Check out the contrast of the bright autumn leaves against her pretty white wedding dress.
Time to get married : )
Those flowers + that backdrop = beautiful!
Married!
The great thing about doing a first look is all the portraits are done before the ceremony and then the Bride + Groom are free to enjoy their cocktail hour.
How cute is their signature cocktail, looks yummy!
Loved that they used Mekina’s engagement photos. So pretty!
Time to celebrate!
Favorite shot : )
I love a good cake smash : ) But I would never want it done to me haha.
I really love working with Mekina and watching her shoot and interact with her couples. She’s easy-going and happy which I think really reflects in her couples and their portraits. I’m really looking forward to second-shooting with her more this year!
She smiles even when she’s shooting : )
