I love shooting at venues that I haven’t been to before. Highlands Country Club reminds me of The Great Gatsby  which made me love it even more. I really enjoyed 2nd shooting this Highlands Country Club wedding with Jainé from Brklyn View Photography.

Such a classic dress and I loved the little blue flower that was sewn into the inside of the train.

I am so a Kate Spade girl so these shoes made me so happy!

The bride wanted to do a first look with her father.

As the second shooter I spend most of the time with the guys getting ready. These boutonnières on the this copper bar top makes me so happy! : )

The bride and groom didn’t want to see each other before the wedding, but they wanted to exchange notes with each other. It was a nice for them to have a little bit of time together before the day really got underway.

I really love following the bride and groom right after the ceremony and getting their realization that they’re finally married.

This is the part that reminds me of The Great Gatsby with the high ceilings, windows and the curtains on the patio. What do you think? Do you agree?

I’m bummed that I didn’t get any behind the scenes shots of Jainé working. So instead I’ll just tell you how amazing she is : ) I really love working with her! She has such a calm and sweet disposition that makes the day seem to go so well (even when it doesn’t) and I really think puts her couples at ease. I’ve learned so much from her on how to work with your couples and the technical side of shooting.
