I’m really excited to introduce you to Kelsey + Jim! They were married in Ohio at the really beautiful St. Paul the Apostle Church. What was supposed to be a cloudy, rainy day turned out to be an extremely gorgeous day! There were too many great images to choose from because of just how cute these two are together! You really can tell how much they love each other and it definitely came across in their pictures!
Kelsey + Jim’s family and friends are all extremely talented and did a great job with all the details of the wedding… just wait till I point everything out. First, Kelsey, her sister and mom did all the floral arrangements!
Love me some ring shots! You’ll also notice that Kelsey + Jim used sunflowers all throughout their wedding because Jim thinks Kelsey is like a sunflower.
Kelsey’s dad painted the image of the sunflowers which was used on their invitation.
Oh rose windows, how I love you!
One of Kelsey’s bridesmaids made the guarder, so cute!
So every point in the day of a wedding is my favorite… but I really love when the bride puts on her dress because I know how much I waited for that moment!
Jim was one spiffy looking groom! I was very impressed by his tweed suit and all the detail to his look.
I love this next picture on the left, I remember going to weddings as a little girl and my sisters and I would just be in awe of the bride.
Isn’t St. Paul the Apostle Church just beautiful?
Mr. & Mrs. Ryan!
And now it’s time for some portraits with an awesome bridal party at a beautiful location!
I was very fortunate to have Ben with me since it was his cousin, Kelsey’s wedding. So we gave him a camera and let him do some second shooting for me! I think I may be spoiled 🙂 Look at his next to shots he caught…
while I was taking this!
The groomsmen had bow-ties with mustaches on them! Ah!
My image is on the left and Ben was shooting from the right.
Kelsey you’re such a gorgeous bride!
Jim was working it a little for the camera! haha
Just stop for a second to appreciate all the details of Jim’s outfit. I really loved that Jim kept what he was wearing a secret from Kelsey and that Kelsey trusted him enough to let him pick it out! Not too many brides would do that 🙂 haha
I’m really in love with the shot Ben got on the right.
Between the arches, wood doors, columns, brick and stone, I really could have stayed at the church all day and shot portraits!
Their reception was held at the Amelita Mirolo Barn which was adorable!
Are you ready for this one? Kelsey’s mom and her friend made the wedding cake!
City Barbeque catered the food and it was delicious plus everything was set up so perfect! (Side Note: The mac & cheese and lemonade were definitely my favorite!)
I’m really in love with this barn! The lights and wood make such a great backdrop!
I really love taking my couples out for portraits around sunset even if we can’t get a sunset in the background. It’s just a great time to get some warm, magical looking light and usually the the bride and groom can use a couple minutes to themselves.
I really love the next image on the right since you don’t see Kelsey’s feet at all and just Jim’s feet poking out the bottom!
Oh do you see that warm light!?
Didn’t I say that their love just comes through in their images? They even smile while they’re kissing! 🙂
I really try to keep the bride and groom away from the reception for less than 10 minutes and then it’s back to the reception to dance the night away!
I’m going to end with this image because it was one of my favorite moments from the reception. Jim played Mumford & Sons’ She Said Yes and Jim + Kelsey danced all around the dance floor. (I may have played this song the entire time I put this post together… just maybe.)
Kelsey + Jim, Ben and I are so excited for the two of you!! We’re so glad that God has brought you together and we know the joy of finally being married after the years of waiting. Married life is great!
