This past Saturday I shot Kristen + Roy’s wedding at Cortlandt Colonial in Cortlandt Manor, NY. It was my first wedding in New York (being from Pittsburgh) and we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day. Plus their wedding was in the evening so we had some wonderful light 🙂
I started out with the day with the guys.
I always seem to learn something new at each wedding I shoot. At this one I learned that the boutineer goes on the right if you’re looking at the jacket.
I felt so bad for the guys in their suits on a rather warm day.
Roy’s son Christopher was his Junior Best Man.
After the guys were ready I headed over to Cortlandt Colonial to hang out with the girls. Kristen’s favorite color is purple and she incorporated it wonderfully with her love for starfish. (Isn’t her hanger cute? She gave them to the girls in her wedding party too.)
I love flowers and her bouquet was beautiful!
Got to include a little purple for the ring shot 🙂
Bridesmaids, Flower Girls and Mother of the Bride dresses. Kristen mentioned wanting a shot like this when we met before the wedding and I’m so glad we did it. I love it!
Some of the girls’ hangers!
I really try not to interfere too much during the day, but when I see a place with better light I have to say something. So I asked Kristen if she could do the final touches of getting ready outside and I’m so glad she trusted me.
I love the shot of her mom and sisters helping her get ready on the right!
Oh Kristen you look beautiful 🙂
I loved that the bridesmaid’s dresses were hi-low.
Kristen’s daughter, Heather, was her Maid of Honor and she really did a great job helping her mom. And isn’t Christopher a little cutie?
The Flower Girls were so cute… you’ll see them a good amount more 🙂
And then the ceremony began.
I love when Flower Girls are in their own little world during the ceremony.
Isn’t the gazebo at Cortlandt Colonial pretty?
Kristen, Roy, Heather and Christopher all did a sand ceremony together.
So pretty!
Married!
Their first family picture 🙂
The Flower Girls were ready to party!
Mr. & Mrs. Schoenleber
I really love all the details, Kristen even had flip flops for all their guests.
Um I loved their cake topper! I really like when couples use a personalized cake topper.
Both the Best Man and Junior Best Man gave toasts.
So this Flower Girl loved to dance and I could have took pictures of her all night… oh wait I did.
Check out those dance moves 🙂
Towards the end of night I took Kristen and Roy out for some portraits.
And I’ll end on this portrait of them in front of their venue. It was a good night! Enjoy your honeymoon in the Bahamas Roy and Kristen!
