If you’re looking for a classic New York City wedding than look no further! This is seriously the epitome of a classic NYC wedding that I was lucky enough to help Amy Rizzuto photograph. We went to Central Park for the Bride and Groom’s portraits and bridal party portraits, but aside from that everything happened in the Park Hyatt New York hotel. The Bride and Groom got ready there and had their ceremony and reception there. It was a Park Hyatt New York wedding.
Normally I’m with the groom when I’m helping photograph another photographer’s wedding. However, Amy was pregnant and ready to have her son any day so I went along to assist her. Which I secretly loved because I got to help photograph the bridal details and the bride getting ready!
I could have never walked around all day in these shoes, but dang are they adorable!
Park Hyatt New York had quite the views of NYC and Central Park!
I loved the Bride’s dress, but wait until you see what she added to it for the ceremony!
I know so many girls dream of their groom seeing them walk down the aisle, but when you do a first look it can seem to negate that moment. I loved that the Bride met her Groom in their ceremony space so that they could still have the same effect, but just between the two of them.
Before the entire bridal party came with us to take portraits in Central Park, we took just the Bride and Groom outside of the hotel and to Central Park for portraits.
This just feel so classic NYC with the building and the taxi cabs in the background.
Oh Central Park, you will always be one of my favorite spots for portraits 🙂
It’s always important to remember to eat on your wedding day… especially when it’s a soft pretzel from a NYC street vendor. hahaha
And then the rest of the bridal party met up with us for this epic shot!
After our adventure to Central Park, we were back at Park Hyatt New York hotel for the ceremony and reception.
Do you see it? Do you see what the Bride put on to make her walk down the aisle a different look? It’s actually two things. She added a veil and an amazing tulle skirt!
Isn’t this room just stunning? The antique mirror with the florals were just amazing!
There were details everywhere at their reception and wait until you see the tablescapes!
We went out at night for some NYC nigh time portraits. Thank you to the car’s headlights who provided backlighting!
And here’s a little behind the scenes of working with Amy (And Mekina too, she was the 2nd shooter!). Amy truly amazes me with her energy and positivity throughout wedding days. She was seriously like 2 days before her due date and she shot this wedding with so much energy! I was having a hard time keeping up with her!
