Sleepy Hollow Lighthouse Engagement Session | Celeste + Tim Tarrytown, NY

October 26, 2018

Neither Celeste or Tim live in Westchester, but they both have family near here so Tim decided to propose to Celeste at the Sleepy Hollow Lighthouse. (It seems kind of fitting since Tim is in the Navy.) They wanted to shoot their engagement session where it all happened. So Celeste actually drove from Philadelphia and Tim flew in from Virginia Beach for their Sleepy Hollow Lighthouse engagement session.

We actually started their engagement session at Kingsland Point County Park so that we could get shots of the lighthouse in the distance.

I love Celeste’s engagement ring! Good job, Tim!

Kingsland Point County Park is right along the Hudson River so it has really beautiful views.

I love this ring shot too!

The park is located in Sleepy Hollow which is pretty big on Halloween. So while we were there, there was some sort of zombie Halloween party at the Katherine Wasserman Davis Riverwalk Center. I had to avoid the zombies in the background that came out to check out what we were doing. I even nicely asked one zombie to move away from the stairs so he wasn’t in the pictures. Definitely a first for me while shooting! haha

Thank goodness the previous day I went to scout out the location because even though the map showed the lighthouse was accessible from the park, it was not. It had been, in fact that’s how Celeste + Tim had got to the lighthouse when he proposed. However, there’s a lot of construction by the water so the lighthouse is only accessible via the Riverwalk right now.

But we made it to the lighthouse and it was so worth it!

Ahh! I love this shot so much!

And I love this shot so much too!! I love lighthouses and these two are so cute so I was living the photographer’s dream!

Congratulations again on the engagement, Celeste + Tim!
