It’s the common sentiment, but I’m going to say it anyway… is it spring yet? I know we had Easter early this year, but we got snow the next day! I feel like I have worn out my winter clothes and I either need to buy more winter clothes or it is time to switch the closet to summer clothes. Anyone else with me?
March is usually a quiet month, but this year it was busy! I went to Jessica Oh’s baby shower to celebrate her little boy that’s on the way. Ben went to Ireland for work… I required he send me pictures 🙂 I had my first wedding of 2018 (Katie + Julio!) and Mekina was sweet enough to help me with it. Ben and I went to meet our sweet new niece, Chloe, and I shot her newborn session. The next day the ladies of Spark held the 3rd free workshop, Ignite, that I helped out with. A couple of days later I helped out the Ronald McDonald House of Greater Hudson Valley by shooting their Red Shoe Awards. Then finally at the end of the month we headed to Pittsburgh for Easter with my family and to snuggle Sophie. 🙂
I’m thinking April should be a little slower than March:
I’m still blogging just once a month which has allowed me to get so much else done for the business.
I’m continuing to edit my second shooting and it’s still going really well. If I keep on my schedule I’ll be done by the end of June.
I’m still going throug Katelyn James’ Lighting & Locations course. I try and do a couple lessons a week and it seems to work out pretty well. I don’t think I’ll finish it this month, but definitely next month. There’s a lot of content to go through!
If you aren’t a professional in the wedding/photography industry then you might not even realize this is something that has to be done. I’ve been working on submitting sessions and weddings that I shot in 2017 to blogs and other publications. It’s actually quite a lot of work and time to go curate all the images I took, upload them to galleries and then pull information about themall together so I can find the perfect places to submit to.
I was doing really well going to the gym and then I got sick. I’m still getting over the cold (thank you Ben for giving that to me) so once my throat isn’t sore and I’m not coughing I’ll head back.
I just have the images from our trips in 2017 to edit. That sounds simple, but it’s actually a lot of days worth of images. I’m hoping to knock out one of the trips this month.
I’ve been helping my sister out with designing her wedding suite so I need to get that done this month so she can order them.
Ben has cleaned up all the old flower beds and we got some more space to plant around our house this year. Yay! We have all the seeds/bulbs so I’m hoping to plant them by the end of the month. As long as snow isn’t still in the forecast. :/
