Last week I visited Debbie + PJ at their house for an at home Carmel, New York maternity session. Their house was the perfect spot to shoot since they just had their shower and have put their nursery together. It also just so happens that their house is just a short walk from a beautiful lake.

PJ taught Kindergarten for years and became a big fan of Dr. Seuss so it was the perfect theme for their little girl’s nursery! The sign above the changing table was actually painted by family for their shower, but they loved it so much they included it in the nursery.

I had no idea there was even Dr. Seuss themed nursery items, but there are and it’s so cute!

Even their dog, Boomer, got in on the pictures!

Right outside of their house is a trellis that was actually from their wedding ceremony.

Like I said, they have a beautiful pond just a short walk from their house. It’s actually been a big part of their relationship because it’s where PJ proposed and where they had their wedding ceremony.

Such a pretty spot and I love a weeping willow tree!

I can just see them bringing their little girl down here for a walk.

And this was the bench where PJ proposed to Debbie. Boomer was even a part of the proposal.

There was such gorgeous light reflecting off the water that there were so many spots to shoot!

I love this one so much!

Congratulations Debbie + PJ! You’re going to have such a special little girl!

And I have to give a big shout out to my husband, Ben. He came along with me to help with my gear and to help with Boomer when he wasn’t in the picture. Ben + treats were my secret to getting Boomer to look at the camera!
