Thanksmas

December 17, 2014

This Thanksgiving looked more like Christmas than Thanksgiving. We left earlier than expected because Pennsylvania was expecting snow… and they got it!

We spent Thanksgiving with Ben’s family this year. I’m thankful I get to be an aunt to these little ones 🙂

I loved his shirt, it made me think of Chick fil a.

Ben’s brother brought his dog, Maxwell, so I of course took pictures 🙂

My niece got a stuffed Corgi dog from American Girl Place this summer and named it Maxie after Maxwell. Maxwell wanted it to be his toy.

The day after Thanksgiving Ben and I traveled to my Aunt Karen’s where all of my family was. My mom’s family is kind of spread out so we do Christmas the day after Thanksgiving, thus the long weekend has been deemed “Thanksmas”. We all go out together (even the puppies) and cut down a tree, iced cookies and open presents at night.

The puppies got a little excited and wrapped their leashes all around my cousin, Colsen.

It was a little cold. Poor Sophie is getting older and shook like a leaf the whole time because she was cold, Kristina wrapped her scarf around her.

I tried to get a cute picture of Sophie in her sweater… she wasn’t having it.

Most of us sing and take pictures, but thankfully Colsen and my uncle actually do the work to get the tree.

Kristina loves Santa!

Maddy looks good with those dogs, she needs them when she runs!

When we got back we decorated cookies while the tree thawed out a little.

My family is pretty serious about decorating their cookies.

Ben was sick of me taking pictures of him.

Then it was snuggle time! Everyone loves when Grammy scratches their backs, especially Sophie. She hopped right up on Grammy’s lap anytime she sat down.

Brynlee isn’t even a year old, golden retriever so she had to be contained while the tree was decorated.

Present time!

Kristina loves warm clothes lol.

Love these girls!

Sophie was all snuggled in for the night with the exception of a couple sniffs of the tree.

Poor Steve, everyone else is laughing, but he looks frustrated by the game.

Looking back it went really fast with both of our families, but we sure crammed a lot in!
