Try it Tuesday: Pumpkin Painting!

September 17, 2012

This weekend Ben and I went home to Pittsburgh again! It was so wonderful seeing all my friends and family again! On Saturday my two cousins, Jackie & Colson, came over. Now Jackie really loves crafts (she’s a girl after my own heart!) so my mom usually tries to plan a craft for her to do….and I of course volunteer to help! Pumpkin painting is a really easy craft to do with kids! All you need are some pumpkins and puffy paint! (Puffy paint doesn’t wash out so make sure to put the kids in clothes you don’t care about…or an uncle’s big t-shirt!

And we just let the kids go for it….we should have probably put some newspaper down but I don’t think they did too much damage. And please note that if they gob on paint like in the picture below it will take days for it to fully dry!

My sister, Kristina, and I also painted pumpkins…she went for a more Halloween feel.

And for my pumpkin I stayed with our wedding theme! Too bad we didn’t have pink paint!

We have some more paint left over so maybe I’ll have to buy another pumpkin to paint!
