Grand Central Wedding New York City

December 29, 2017

Rain on a wedding day means good luck, right? That’s until it’s on your wedding day! haha I helped Jainé from Brklyn View Photography shoot a wedding on a rainy New York City day.  It’s proof that as long as your willing to work with the rain, even a rainy day wedding can be beautiful!

The Bride and Groom got ready in The Lowes Regency Hotel with beautiful New York City views.

I was in love with these Chanel shoes! Gorgeous!

I spent most of my time with the Groom while he got ready for the big day.

Sometimes you just need to get creative whenever it’s raining. The Bride and Groom did their first look under the awning of The Lowes Regency Hotel’s entrance.

We were already scheduled to do some Grand Central wedding portraits which provided some coverage from the outside elements.

I really love all of these portraits in Grand Central. Everyone is hustling and bustling around the Bride and Groom who are just enjoying the moment.

We traveled to the Conservatory Garden in Central Park for their wedding ceremony. I think this shot with the umbrellas is classic.

I love the shot on right of the Bride hiking up her dress!

The Bride and Groom had a Persian wedding ceremony table with symbolic items.

Thankfully the location of the ceremony was covered so there was still an outdoor ceremony in the rain.

Married!

The rain slowed down and we were able to do some portraits in the Conservatory Garden.

A rainy day also means clouds that block the harsh sun which makes a photographers job so much easier. The clouds act as a big soft box which give you softer images with less harsh shadows.

Loved the flower in the Groom’s boutonnière.

Thanks Jainé for asking me to second shoot this wedding with you! I really enjoyed going all over New York City to photograph this wedding!
