I am so excited to share Candice + Mike’s engagement session with you today! They are both Iona College alumni and it’s where they met so it seemed pretty perfect to take some engagement photos there. They also brought along Mike’s family dog, Brutus for a couple of shots… he’s a handsome little guy 🙂
We started the session where it all began, Hagan Hall.
Iona is a beautiful college to walk around so we took the scenic tour.
We visited the spot that Mike proposed to Candice.
I think it was back in February that Candice talked about having cherry blossoms in the engagement pictures. We picked the best date that we could, the second weekend in May, and prayed for the best. Well Candice got her cherry blossoms and this tree just couldn’t have been any more beautiful.
Brutus got in for a couple more shots… there was a lot to distract him from looking at the camera.
Bow ties on dogs make me melt!
And yes, Brutus winks for the camera, love it!
Candice didn’t want the typical engagement ring so instead she went with the Irish Claddagh Ring.
I love this one 🙂
Candice’s dress went perfectly with the blossoms.
Oh Candice, you get it girl!
This is my absolute favorite from the session! (Ben may have been my secret weapon for the perfect cherry blossom petal drop.)
Mike used to study around the area on the left.
This was the building where they registered for classes when they attended.
We had to climb several stairs for this shot of Iona’s campus, but it was well worth it.
Mike can make Candice laugh so easily.
For the first couple years of Candice’s life she spoke through sign language. To this day she still signs “I love you” to her family.
These next shots are too cute and a great way to end their engagement session 🙂
Thank you Candice + Mike for spending the evening with Ben and I. We hope you had as much fun as we did!
