After every photo session I shoot I either call or text Ben and say, Oh my gosh this is what I’m supposed to be doing with my life, this is where I am comfortable. He’s probably sick of me saying that by now and probably just wants to say, Way to state the obvious…again. But it’s true and somehow I forget that in the craziness of life. I love photo sessions because it makes me stop for a couple of hours and forget everything that’s going on in my life and focus on somebody else. I let go of everything because right then whoever is in front of my lens is the most important thing and I want to make sure I capture everything about them in that moment.
So let me introduce you to Chedel because in the couple of hours we spent together she went from someone I just met to someone I felt like I knew forever. She’s the kind of girl you instantly feel comfortable with and her laughter is contagious. (Seriously I had a hard time keeping my camera steady.) Oh and did I mention that she’s absolutely beautiful? I’ve decided she’s a mix between Topanga from Boy Meets World and Baby from Dirty Dancing.
We started at the beautiful Calvary United Methodist Church on the North Side because the architecture is amazing (Did I mention that’s where I’m getting married? Ah!) and then we continued exploring Pittsburgh.
So Chedel’s real smile is her laughing (as her mom informed me) and I love it!
Now not everyone likes the straight faces but I wanted to make sure I captured a little of everything and Chedel totally rocked it!
Side note: I got a two for one because every time I told Chedel I wanted her to make “sexy” eyes she would give me her awesome laugh and I would get a great picture and then she would give me her “sexy” eyes and I would get a second great picture. I’m not going to lie, I may have used that little tool once or twice to make her laugh :0)
Yellow Chucks? Yes Please! (I think I may need pink ones now!)
I usually have one picture in my head when I go into a photo session that I want to capture. Chedel in front of the Clemente bridge was my goal but I didn’t tell her that until all of a sudden I saw my chance and told her to run! I think we had about 30 seconds for this picture. Ps she gave me the cutest pose…such a natural! (No worries we had her mom watching both directions so we didn’t get hit!)
I think these next ones are my favorite….I’m not sure it’s so hard to tell!
Chedel, you are absolutely beautiful both on the inside and out! Enjoy your senior year and as you plan for your future remember Jeremiah 29:11, “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”
