Katie and Brad’s session couldn’t have worked out more perfectly! Katie emailed me on a Wednesday about setting up a New York City portrait session before Christmas and the only time I had available was that Saturday. Thankfully they were available and we were able to get together on such short notice! Plus we took these in the middle of December and it was in the 60’s! Katie even wore a tank top to the session! The weather is so crazy!
We started the session in Columbus Circle since it was nice and close to all the spots they had in mind.
Katie and Brad moved to New York City this past June from Tennessee. They wanted pictures around the city to remember their time living in NYC and to give as Christmas gifts to their family back in Tennessee.
Love this one with the stars changing colors in the background and all the yellow taxi cabs.
Right next to Columbus Circle is Trump International. I was attracted to all the gold (pretty sure it’s going to be my color of 2016) and Christmas lights.
I didn’t want the session to be too “Christmasy”, but I loved the lights and the background they created.
Trump International even had gold chairs sitting outside, it was so perfect!
One of my favorites!!!
Love how the lights look like sparkles in the background. And these two are such pros!
Then we walked right into Central Park. Katie and Brad really picked the perfect places to go to since they were all nice and close.
We were originally going to go the bridge near the Boat House, but then we found this one and I think I love it even more! There were a lot less people and it’s beautiful.
Like I said, they were pros and the light was beautiful!
Oh I love this one so much too!
I love black and white, it’s so classic and timeless.
Not too far away in Central Park was the perfect place to get some shots with the buildings in the background.
Look at Katie working it!
The only shot that Brad requested was with Time Square in the background. This was a little bit of a walk, but it was so worth it!
Ben was with us so he was our spotter for cars as we ran out into the middle of the street for a couple of shots.
We’ll end with this image since it’s classic NYC.
