In honor of today being Ben and my 4 year wedding anniversary, I thought I’d share our wedding album that I finally finished last year. I had heard such wonderful things about Leather Craftsmen that I decided to test them out when I ordered our album. It could have been risky, but oh my gosh did they do a wonderful job! I’m so excited to order my 2016 couples’ wedding albums from them!
Since I had all the professional resources to design an album, I decided to design our wedding album by myself using Michael Will‘s beautiful images from our big day. What I didn’t expect was for it to be so hard to choose from all the images. I design wedding albums for my couples and have never had a problem picking which pictures to use. The problem when they’re you’re own images is that you’re attached to each one with an emotion or memory. So what should have took a week to design took three years, what should have been 10-20 spreads ended up being 32 spreads. But I sooooo love my Leather Craftsmen Album!!
Do you see all the emotion Michael Will captured?!? It’s no wonder I had such a hard time choosing my favorites.
Can I just say our entire wedding day was more perfect than words and pictures could ever describe. It was so amazing to have all our family and friends take the time to celebrate with and be there for us.
That dress! It’s all clean and put away, but oh my gosh the feeling of putting on my dress and veil made me so happy and giddy! (Also, Sophie thought my train was her own personal bed. She did the same to my sister’s dress when she got married. Good thing we love her so much!)
Ben got me the hanger for my dress as a wedding gift and even painted it pink : )
Ben and I didn’t do a first look, but I surprised my Daddy with my Cinderella dress.
I’ve been asked if I regret the colors for my wedding, hot pink and pale yellow. The answer is absolutely not! I loved the pops of hot pink through out the day and the pale yellow to calm it all down a little.
Besides my Benny, these are my favorite people right here!
I thought I’d be over protective of my dress and keeping it clean. The truth is once I had the dress on I just wanted to have a good time and get some awesome pictures. I still made sure not to walk through mud or step on it (I did trip and do a face plant that day), but I had the dress professionally cleaned and it seriously looks like new. And having this picture of my dad pushing me on the swing set that he (us girls helped too!) built for us is so worth any dirt that got on my dress!
Oh I lied, these are my favorite people too!
We had a timeline for the day, but I was having such a great time taking pictures that I kind of made the photographers late. So unfortunately, Ben didn’t get as many pictures as I would have liked. He, on the other hand, would say he got plenty of pictures : )
My nieces were so little!
I designed all of our stationary and had it printed through Vista Print.
The big moment!! It was so hot that day, but I didn’t even notice once I started down the aisle.
Oh the church! I chose Calvary United Methodist Church in Pittsburgh specifically because of how beautiful it was and I knew I wouldn’t need to do much for decorations. Pastor Rock married us. He also dedicated me as a baby and baptized me when I was seven so it was really special to have him as the officiant.
Besides saying I do and kissing Ben, my favorite part of our ceremony was when our parents and grandparents laid hands on us while Pastor Rock prayed for us.
Pure joy!
We have a lot of family!
The image on the left is my favorite!!
I’m a diy and detailed girl as it is, but Pinterest and wedding blogs were like my drug while planning our wedding.
We had such a hard time finding a venue because I was super picky, I only wanted to decorate the tables so the space had to be pretty and fit with my vision, plus I was in Pittsburgh and Ben was in New York so it made everything more difficult. But when I saw The Edgeworth Club I knew right away that it was perfect. Side note – one of my gifts to Ben was that Penn State groom’s cake : )
My dad and I did a little mash up of dances in the middle of our dance to “You are My Sunshine.” It was pretty awesome and definitely helped with not crying since we were thinking of the steps instead.
Our reception was so much fun! There were so many people on the dance floor and it seemed like everyone was genuinely having a great time, but I could be biased ; )
We ended the night with sparklers and an exit in a pink taxi cab!
I can’t believe it’s already been four years! Let me tell you time really does fly right past you! I am beyond lucky to have such a wonderful husband to go along with all of my crazy ideas and even support me in them. I believe marriage is such an amazing gift from God and I know it’s so cheesy, but Ben really is the half of me that I didn’t know was missing until we got married. I don’t want 2016 to pass on by so quickly, but how is next year going to already be 5 years?!?
