Did you know that Jersey City has an amazing view of New York City? I had no idea until I second shot a Maritime Parc wedding for Mekina. It was a chilly and rainy day, but the bride and groom had such a beautiful backdrop for their portraits and wedding.
The bride had beautiful details with gold accents. And those Jimmy Choo shoes!
Such simple, but beautiful Astilbe bouquets for the bridesmaids.
One of my favorite ring shots!
While Mekina stayed with the girls, I went to hang out with the groom and his groomsmen.
Cheers!
We took a couple of portraits before we headed off to the first look.
Even though it was chilly they still did their first look outside.
Told you it’s a great view! Even with the fog!
The clear umbrella was perfect for some portraits in the rain.
I really love when all of the bridesmaids have different dresses in the same color.
I love the lights in the background from the city, they add a little glitter.
The bride and groom were married inside of Maritime Parc with New York City in the background.
Married!
It was amazing to see how quickly the Maritime Parc staff changed the room from the ceremony setup to the reception setup.
I really liked how the bride and groom had pictures of themselves at the age of each table number. Cute idea!
I love a good spin picture!
So fun dancing outside with NYC in the background!
Not only was there a great shot of the New York City skyline, there was a great shot of the Statue of Liberty.
I usually try to get some shots of Mekina working, but we were just so busy all day long that I never had the chance. As always she did a wonderful job and I love watching how she works and interacts with her couples. Make sure to check out her work at MekinaSaylor.com!
