I love summer weddings! I would so rather shoot in the heat then the cold. Plus everything is always so colorful and green outdoors. I second shot a Township of Washington wedding for Mekina Saylor last summer in beautiful a garden that was just full of color.
When I second shoot I usually get to hang out with the groom and groomsmen while they get ready.
Grooms usually find it kind of odd that I take pictures of them while they get ready. However, I know so many brides are so appreciative to see how their husband spent the morning of their wedding day.
Time to get married!
I always have a soft spot for grandmas : )
The bride and groom did such a good job at including the bride’s daughter into the wedding day.
Officially Mr. and Mrs.!
The bride incorporated so much color into the wedding day. So pretty!
Cute mother-daughter moment!
Second shooting really gives me a chance to be creative and capture portraits from different angles while Mekina directs and shoots the couple’s portraits.
The detail on the back of the dress was beautiful.
Finally it’s time to relax and party!
Oh I loved these gold glitter Mr. and Mrs. signs! You know I was all over the hot pink and gold details of the wedding.
I also have a soft spot for father-daughter dances.
The groom and the bride’s daughter already had such a special relationship.
Officially a family : )
The guests at this wedding liked to dance! I really had a fun time capturing them!
Cheers!
This little girl must have partied hard! haha
I spy Mekina hiding in a bush! : ) I love shooting with this girl so much! She’s so much fun and she seriously has a smile on her face the whole time! Check out her work at MekinaSaylor.com!
