Two years ago I shot Janelle + Tyler’s engagement session on Janelle’s birthday, last summer I shot their wedding and then again on her birthday this year we shot their 1 year anniversary session. Janelle put on her wedding dress again (I mean, what girl wouldn’t want too) and Tyler got in his suit for a Rye Beach NY session.

This was their third time shooting with me so they’ve got the walking pictures down pretty darn perfect!

Janelle wanted another bouquet, so I tried my hand at florals. I bought mini white roses, greenery and some sort of purple/fuchsia feathery  floral from a local store. Then I picked some of my purple Dahlias from my garden. I even made Tyler a little boutonniere! I don’t think it turned out that bad!

The great thing about Rye Beach is there’s the beach area, but there’s also a park, a boardwalk and even Playland so there were so many different areas for pictures.

I feel a little bad about these pictures, but they’re so good that I’m also really glad we took them! Janelle originally told me she didn’t want to go on the beach because she didn’t want to get her dress sandy, which is totally understandable. But once I saw the beach I asked if Tyler would be willing to carry her down on the sand because I thought it would soooo be worth it for the pictures.

Tyler did carry Janelle all the way to the beach, but it was a lot farther than we expected so she did end up standing in the sand. But we totally protected her dress!

And it was so worth it for the pictures!!

I love Playland’s boardwalk, it’s so colorful!

We shot until it literally got dark and I was out of light!

Happy first anniversary Janelle + Tyler! I loved photographing the two of you for a third time!
