Riverdale Manor Wedding | Janelle + Tyler Lancaster, PA

July 26, 2017

Ben and I met Janelle a couple of years ago when she started attending our church. Before we knew it she started mentioning this boy that her hairdresser from back home in Lancaster set her up with. Then this boy started visiting Janelle on the weekends and that’s how we got to know Tyler : ) They are such a sweet couple that clearly work so well together. We loved that we got to both shoot and attend their Riverdale Manor wedding in Lancaster.

Riverdale Manor’s bridal suite had such a nice and simple area for Janelle to get into her dress.

I love the bow that Janelle added to her dress.

Janelle and Tyler wrote each other sweet notes for each other to read before the ceremony.

Ben was my second shooter for the day and I am so proud of the shots that he got for me. I’ve been training him on manual shooting and I gave him my second shooter guide and he really did well.

Janelle and Tyler decided to do a first look. I always love the sweet moments that a bride and groom are able to have before their big day gets started.

Now that’s the reaction you want your groom to have!!

Janelle is always smiling and such a happy girl, but I think I saw her smiling her biggest on her wedding day.

Oh Janelle, you are so beautiful!

As Janelle planned her wedding she would bring ideas and samples to church for us girls to help her pick out. The color she picked out for the bridesmaids dresses photographed beautifully.

Tyler has been working on his Bronco since high school so it was important to get some shots with it.

Ben got this great shot of Tyler.

We were able to knock out all of the bridal party pictures before the ceremony since Janelle + Tyler did a first look.

I loved that whenever they looked at each other they smiled : )

We were also able to do most of their family portraits before the ceremony because Janelle + Tyler did a first look.

Tyler and his dad made the arbor for the ceremony, I was very impressed. Maybe one day they’ll set it up at their house.

Divine Florals by Susan did a beautiful job decorating the ceremony space.

I love that Ben captured this shot of Janelle’s father walking her down the aisle without anyone else around.

I told you, Janelle smiled so big all day long!

Such a pretty place down by the river for a wedding ceremony.

They did a very good job mixing the sand with a pattern. Anybody remember doing sand art back in the day and trying to get the perfect pattern? haha

Married!!

One of the best reactions to being announced as husband and wife that I’ve seen!

After the ceremony we had some time for portraits of just the two of them.

Tyler is looking good in his suit!

Love this one so much!

I was so excited to find a Weeping Willow to shoot through!

I love doing engagement sessions because it’s a relaxed time for couples to get comfortable in front of my camera. That way on their wedding day, when things can sometimes be a bit crazy, it’s easier for them to quickly feel comfortable with me again. Janelle + Tyler remembered how to “walk” perfectly from their engagement session.

Janelle loves gazebos. Tyler proposed in a gazebo and we found a gazebo for their engagement session so we definitely had to get some portraits at Riverdale Manor’s gazebo.

Riverdale Manor has a great setup for couples to have their weddings all in one place.

Janelle was all about the details. (My kind of girl!) I loved seeing all of her ideas come together.

Mr. and Mrs. Brown!

I don’t know how they managed it with Janelle in New York and Tyler in Pennsylvania, but they took dance lessons for their first dance.

Proud parents!

Their flatware had a duck engraved on it in honor of Tyler’s great-grandfather.

Janelle and her father surprised everyone with fun dance! I think only the two of them and the vendors knew that it was happening. Again, I don’t know how she found time to choreograph this with her father!

Yay for sparkler exits!

We’re so excited to have both Janelle and Tyler in New York with us now! We can’t wait to see everything that God has planned for you and your marriage!
