Growing up Lauren would pass the Dutchess Manor whenever her family was visiting Beacon, NY and even though she never went inside it she knew she wanted to have her wedding there. And that’s exactly what Lauren + Brian had on their big day, a Dutchess Manor wedding.
Lauren got ready in her parents’ house where she grew up.
Lauren had her great grandmother’s blue handkerchief sewn in her dress as her something blue.
I am obsessed with Lauren’s hairpiece! It was so delicate and beautiful!
I love all the special pieces Lauren included during her day. The veil was her mother’s veil.
Lauren did a little first look with her father before we left for the church. I love her face right before she tapped her dad on the shoulder.
So many pretty details from the beading to the lacing of the corset and the light blush color of her Casablanca wedding dress. Lauren also included one of her grandmother’s necklaces and a piece of her other grandmother’s wedding gown on her bouquet.
Love this stationary set! Plus Lauren designed it herself. A girl after my own heart as a graphic designer myself.
While I was with Lauren my second shooter, Devin, was with Brian at the church.
St. John the Evangelist was also the church that Lauren’s parents and grandparents got married.
They’re married!!
Dinosaur bubble guns for the exit? Yes, please!
Since Lauren wanted a Dutchess Manor wedding since she was little, I made sure to get some pictures of her and Brian in front of the venue.
The bridal suite even had a cute charm about it that was perfect for some pictures.
Love these classic bridal shots!
The Dutchess Manor has a beautiful view of the Hudson River. It was the perfect day where it was a bit overcast so we could get pictures with the river in the background.
Just like with all of her bridal details, Lauren had a lot of details for the reception. I loved seeing how she used her engagement pictures too! I love to see which pictures are a couples favorite from their engagement session.
Just like the invitation suite, Lauren designed the place cards and menus.
Let’s just talk about this little house that served as their card box for a second: Lauren’s father build it as an exact replica of Lauren + Brian’s house. Lauren’s mother added the little details like the flowers and wreath on the door. Then on the inside of the roof they wrote a little note to her. It went above and beyond my expectations of how Lauren had described it. So cute! I think if Lauren + Brian ever have kids that they should convert it to a doll house!
We went back out at sunset for some more pictures since the clouds had cleared and we had some golden hour light.
I love Lauren’s laugh, it’s the best for pictures and I feel like she’s always giggling or laughing.
So while we were outside the Dutchess Manor’s neighbor let out his goats for some interested wedding guests. We could hear them the whole time we were outside taking pictures so apparently it’s a pretty common occurrence for wedding guests to wander over to see the goats. Lauren was so cute and dived right in to feed the goats. They were actually really sweet unless you stopped feeding them and then they jumped up.
There were apple cider donuts and coffee for the guests as they left the reception. I may have had to try one and it may have been delicious. 🙂
The final dance!
Congratulations again, Lauren + Brian! You two were so much fun to photograph all day! It was just so clear how in love are and how much fun you had!
