October’s Goals

October 2, 2018

I never got around to doing a September’s goals blog post so it really seems crazy to already be doing an October’s goals post. But here we are in October even if I’m not ready to embrace the pumpkins and changing leaves.

So here’s a quick recap of August and September: I went home for almost 2 weeks for my baby sister’s wedding. The next weekend I shot Kaitlyn + Tommy’s wedding. Ben has started coming as my assistant to weddings and I have to say it’s made such a difference in wedding days! While Ben was out of town for work the starter in my car, I call him Colby, decided to go. It sucked that my car had to get towed, but God really provided through it all and everyone was so helpful during a very stressful time. We also went to Maine for a couple day trip. We visited our friends, Kerry + Kyle and did a maternity session with them. Then We headed to Acadia National Park to take pictures of the stars. When we came back we had a one year anniversary session with Janelle + Tyler. My sister who just got married already got a puppy named Finny! It’s killing me not to be able to see him until Thanksgiving! And then just this past weekend I shot Lauren + Brian’s wedding! I told you, it’s been busy!

For October’s goals:

Business Goals:

  • October is going to be crazy and actually so will the beginning of November. So if I’m MIA just know I’m trying to get through this month. I have Jordana + Dave‘s wedding this weekend, a couple of engagement sessions and some second shooting all this month.
  • In case you didn’t see my announcement on social media, I’m hosting fall mini sessions November 10th! My goal is to get them all booked up! Spots are filling up so contact me if you’d like more information!
  • I’m trying to keep up with all of the images that are coming in right now. I’m trying to blog them all on time and deliver them all on time so when I’m not shooting, I’m in front of the computer.

Personal Goals:

  • Our vegetable garden is pretty much done. 🙁 One of these weekends I need to find a time to clear out all of the dead plants so that out yard looks a little better. At least the flowers are still blooming!
  • We’re looking at taking a trip somewhere warm in December. Ben is doing most of the planning, but it’s what’s getting me through all this craziness.
  • Since we’re going on a trip in December we’ve started Christmas shopping. Is it too early? Oh well we can already tell November and December are going to be busy so we’re getting a head start!
  • I’m still not feeling totally like myself (I spoke a little about it in my August’s goals post), but I’ve been making it a point to go to doctor and therapy appointments and with their help the amazing support of my husband I’m really starting to get back to whatever normal is.

Ok October, I’m coming for you!
