Jordana + Dave met while they were both living in New York City so it seemed only fitting to shoot their engagement session there. We actually shot right near where Jordana used to live which worked out really well that she knew the area since rain was in the forecast. She choose the perfect location for both indoor and outdoor shots for their Brookfield Place engagement session.
I love the story of their first date because Jordana actually tried to reschedule after a long day at work. Dave was persistent and choose a restaurant near her. Thank goodness he was persistent because who would have thought that he’d be going on his first date with his future wife!
I love Jordana’s ring! The diamond is actually from her mother’s ring, so special!
I honestly didn’t think we were going to shoot outdoors at all, it was supposed to downpour during the whole engagement session. Thankfully the rain held off during most of the session! It just proves that you can check and stress out over the weather forecast, but you just never know what’s going to happen. It’s just best to have backup plans or alternate locations.
I love that you can see the rain drops on the flowers in this ring shot.
About halfway through it started to sprinkle. Thankfully Jordana + Dave were up for staying outside a little bit longer to get some shots with the umbrella.
I know that no one wants a rainy day, but rainy day portraits are so romantic!
We headed inside to this walkway that was perfect for indoor portraits. There was lots of natural light and I loved the architecture of the white columns.
Jordana is the cutest when she laughs 🙂
Aren’t they just the cutest!?!
And then the rain stopped for a little bit more so we could go outside for a little bit longer. I loved this area with all of the buildings in the background, so NYC!
I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in October!
