October’s Goals

October 4, 2017

I knew September was going to be busy, but geeze when I look back I don’t know how I fit it all in! I flew to Pittsburgh for my sister’s engagement session and then we went to Philly for her to try on dresses at Bhdln. I shot three of my own weddings and was so thankful for the help of my second shooters. We went sailing with our friends, apple picking and went back to PA at the end of the month for our nice’s, Olivia’s, first birthday.

I’m so excited that in October I don’t have to pack a suitcase at all, I actually get to stay home for the whole month. I’ll still keep busy, though.

Business Goals:

  • I have my last wedding for the year and then I’m second shooting two weddings.
  • Since I’ll be done shooting this month, I’ll hoping to finish culling all of my images by the end of the month. It’s going to be so much work, but it’ll be such a relief!
  • I have a couple other shorter sessions that I’m excited to shoot this month too.
  • I’ve been working on a special project for when I style invitations and jewelry at weddings. It’s coming along, but I need to perfect a few things.
  • I’m planning a little bit of a different styled shoot for November, so I actually need to get some stuff together for it.

Personal Goals:

  • Everything is dying in my garden which makes me sad. I’m getting the very last of the tomatoes, zucchini and zinnias. Then I’ll have to clear everything out.
  • Like I said, I actually get to stay home this month so I want to try and get together with our friends from New York a little bit more.
  • Can you believe it’s Fall? The weather hasn’t seemed like it in NY so it’s been hard to believe it, but I want to do some Fall things before all of a sudden it’s cold and feels like winter. I want to carve a pumpkin, decorate the apartment for Fall, eat a caramel apple, hand out Halloween candy, make pumpkin cookies, wear flannel and drink lots of pumpkin spice lattes! I tried my first pumpkin spice latte ever last week and I am so hooked!

Happy Fall!
