It’s been 1,827 days since my Daddy walked me down the aisle towards my fiancé. 1,827 days since we had so many people that loved and supported us all around us together. 1,827 days since we both said “I Do” to a forever together. 1,827 days seems like a lot of days together, but not necessarily a significant amount of days… except that the 1,827 days is actually 5 years for us. We’re celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary today!
I can’t believe we’ve been married for 5 years. At one point it seems like maybe we’ve been married 2 years, but it also feels like I’ve known Ben forever. I like to think it’s because God clearly meant for us to be together and so we get along so well that time flies when we’re together, but we also know each other so deeply.
I thought I would just share a couple pictures of the two of us together on our best day ever! This wasn’t my home church in Pittsburgh, but it was so classic and beautiful that I knew I wanted to get married at Calvary United Methodist Church the instant I saw it.
Pastor Rock dedicated me as a baby, baptized me when I was seven and married me. Not too many people can say that they’ve had a pastor be with them for so many significant points throughout their entire life.
We chose not to do a unity candle or sand, but instead to have our parents and grandparents come and lay hands on us and pray over us with Pastor Rock
One of my favorites from the day!! Our photographer and his wife from MichaelWill Photography did such an excellent job at capturing so many special moments for us.
This face is exactly how I felt on the inside all day long!
The outside of our church was so pretty too!
Hot pink was a necessity!
The C & B were decorations on the doors of the church and now hang above our tv. I ended up using a lot of the decorations from our wedding to decorate our apartment.
Benny carried me into our reception at the Edgeworth Club.
The Edgeworth Club is so pretty that I didn’t really do much decorating except for our centerpieces.
I’m guessing this was “Sweet Caroline” because of course we had to have some Penn State songs!
The photo booth was such a big hit, especially with all the kiddos at the wedding.
Loved our sparkler exit!
This was probably the most expensive taxi cab ride ever, but I wanted to leave in a pink taxi cab so badly!
Thank you so much to Michael and Jennifer from MichaelWill Photography for so many special pictures that we are still in love with 1,827 days later! : )
Here’s to {[(5×5)^5]×∞}+5 more years of being married to the love of my life!
