In high school I visited NYC on two separate occasions and dreamt that I would one day live near the incredible city. However, I couldn’t really imagine leaving Pittsburgh and so I never really pursued moving until Ben got his job in Tarrytown, NY out of college. After we were married I moved to New York.
I am very fortunate to have lots of photographer friends and was really excited when my friend Ash from Asher Gardner Photography asked if Ben and I wanted to model for an anniversary session. I really loved that her vision of a classic session in Central Park seem to incapsulate my high school dream so perfectly.
I am especially excited to have such handsome pictures of my husband : )
I love having this one on my desk.
Growing up my best friend’s parents always held hands. I remember as a teenager looking at them and thinking I can’t wait to hold my husband’s hand one day just because I want to.
One of my favorite pictures! If you know me at all then you know I love a good twirl picture! This was our Christmas card picture too.
Snuggled into Benny is my favorite spot : )
Ash brought these beautiful champagne glasses for some fun toasting shots!
Ladies, he is all mine!
We just went exploring around Central Park with Ash and she found these cute little tucked away spots with epic backgrounds.
The picture on the left chokes me up a little every time I see it. It really signifies our vows, “In sickness and in health” with my wedding bands in focus and the scar from my surgery in the background all while being wrapped up in Ben’s arms.
Such an amazing shot by Ash that brings to life my dream and everything I wanted from so long ago.
Love this dress! It was the perfect twirly dress that we rented from Rent the Runway. It was so easy to rent that it makes want to rent gorgeous gowns all the time!
You can never go wrong with ending on a dip picture!
Thank you Ash so much for these portraits. We love them so much and are so thankful to have pictures to one day remember that time we lived in New York. I love having professional pictures of us besides our wedding pictures. I highly suggest anniversary sessions!
