I like to mainly shoot weddings and engagement sessions, but it is nice to take a break sometimes and do some different portraits sessions for family, friends and past clients. It’s definitely a lot different to work with babies and kids than a bride and groom. Although wrangling children can be very similar to wrangling a drunk bridal party. 😉 Check out some of my 2017 portrait favorites!
Emily Rose was born right before Christmas Eve and was a premie so we had to wait until the beginning of 2017 to do her newborn session.
It’s so neat to see your friends become parents.
Love this one so much!
I take my nieces’ and nephew’s portraits for their birthdays every year. Katelyn turned 8.
And my best friend’s baby girl, Lucy, turned one!
My niece, Anna, turned the big 10!
A lot of our friends became parents this year. Look for the image below where we took Steph and Dave’s picture with baby Reece in almost the exact same spot!
Spark usually does headshots in the spring and fall. We got beautiful cherry blossoms in Central Park for the spring headshots.
So crazy to think that little Ryan was in Amy’s belly for these pictures! He’s 8 months now!
Told you that a lot of our friends had babies this year!
I love that these are maternity pictures, but they’re also nice portraits of Christine and Jon.
I think big family portraits are so important!
While I was in Florida I did a senior portrait session of my cousin, Drew.
My best friend’s baby girl, Cece, turned one!
I so love getting the little detail of baby hands and toes.
My niece, Hailey, turned one and we did a little family session with her parents.
Baby toes!
Cece’s older sister, Elle, turned three this year!
While we were in the Outer Banks for a family vacation my nephew, Will, turned 6.
We did some family portraits while we were on the beach too.
I had never been to Dumbo in Brooklyn, but I loved shooting Ben’s cousin’s family session there! I want to shoot all my sessions there!
Here’s the picture with Reece!
In the fall we shot Spark’s headshots in Morristown, New Jersey.
I love the white brick for a backdrop!
We also headed over to the Central Park of Morris County and took some shots with all the ladies’ families.
Well families and puppies 🙂 Because puppies are family too!
