Try it Tuesday: Blackberry Brie Bites

March 22, 2016

Blackberry Brie Bites_Appetizer_Recipe_DIY_Easy_1Blackberry Brie Bites are one of my favorite appetizers to make for hang outs and parties. They’re really easy to make and you don’t even need to mix anything in a bowl. All you need is a cutting board and a mini muffin tin!

BLACKBERRY BRIE BITES

Makes 24 Bites

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 Tube of Refrigerated Crescent Rolls (8 oz.)
  • 1 Round of Brie Cheese (8 oz.)
  • 1/4 Cup of Blackberry Jelly
  • 24 Fresh Blackberries (I always buy 2 packs because it doesn’t look like enough, but you actually only need 1 pack)
  • 24 Toothpicks

DIRECTIONS

  • Separate the crescent rolls into the 4 rectangles. Then on a cutting board press the seams together of the 2 triangles within each rectangle.
  • Cut each crescent roll rectangle into 6 even squares (I use a pizza cutter for this) for a total of 24 squares. Press each little square into 24 mini muffin tin.
  • Cut the rind off of the brie cheese and then cut into 24 pieces.
  • Place one piece of the brie cheese in each mini muffin tin.
  • Spoon a small amount (I’d say about 1/2 teaspoon) on top of each cheese square.
  • I then fold the four corners of each crescent roll in towards the jelly so that the crescent roll bakes around the brie and jelly.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until the crescent roll is golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and use a spoon to remove the bites from the tin and place on your serving tray.
  • Top each bite with a blackberry and insert a toothpick to hold everything in place.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy! They’ll go fast : )

Plus I made the cute little flags out of washi tape and toothpicks. So cute, but so simple : )

Enjoy!!
