Kaitlyn + Tommy were married on the most perfect day in August. They actually met and live in Boston, but found out they were both from New Jersey and even knew some of the same people. So it was only fitting that they had a Hamilton Farm wedding in New Jersey.
Ben was actually my assistant for the day and we arrived to Kaitlyn and all her bridesmaids getting their final makeup and hair touchups.
Hamilton Farm had such a pretty suite for Kaitlyn and her bridesmaids to get ready.
Even though the suite was so beautiful, I wanted to get Kaitlyn’s dress outside in front of these big doors.
I love bridesmaids in matching pjs!
The week before this wedding my youngest sister got married and this moment made me tear up as Kaitlyn’s two older sisters helped her into her dress. It made me think of my sister, Maddy, and I getting our little sister, Kristina, into her dress.
The detailing and the buttons on the back of Kaitlyn’s dress were amazing!
Both of Kaitlyn’s sisters also wore this veil on their wedding day so it was Kaitlyn’s something borrowed.
Kaitlyn’s father also gave her a gift, a bracelet like the one he had given both of his older daughters when they got married. (My dad did the same thing for my sisters and me! I’m telling you this wedding kept making me think of my sister’s wedding the week before.)
I love this first look! As soon as Kaitlyn told me she wanted to do a first look on the stairs with her father all I could think of was wanting this image on the left. I was downstairs with her father, but Ben captured this shot of Kaitlyn perfectly!
The front doors of Hamilton Farm are stunning and with such a beautiful bride it was just magic!
I loved the light gray dresses Kaitlyn picked for her bridesmaids with the white and light pink flowers. It was such a soft, neutral color scheme that is definitely timeless.
While I was with all the lovely ladies, my second shooter, Rosemary, was with Tommy and his guys as they also got ready on Hamilton Farm‘s property.
Oh you know I love a pink bowtie!
I love this shot Rosemary got of Kaitlyn waiting to go into the church!
Saint Brigid is actually the church where Tommy’s parents were married as well. Plus Tommy was the ring bearer in his god mother’s wedding at this church.
Married!!
I always like to get one classic portrait inside of the church.
On the way back to Hamilton Farm we stopped at the equestrian stables on property for portraits.
I seriously could have shot at the stables all day, but the rest of Hamilton Farm is so beautiful that we went back to the mansion for Kaitlyn + Tommy’s portraits. There are so many places around the mansion that are just perfect for portraits.
This spot to the side of the mansion was so perfect for cocktail hour. The funny part is the last time I shot a Hamilton Farm wedding this area was actually all tented and where the receptions were held. When the farm built an area for wedding receptions and removed the tent they found this beautiful fountain underneath.
Jardiniere Fine Flowers did an amazing job with all of the florals from the bouquets to the centerpieces and the head table!
So while Rosemary and I were inside getting ready for Kaitlyn + Tommy to enter into their reception, Ben caught this portrait outside in the beautiful golden hour light. I may be just a little jealous that he got to take this picture.
You could just tell when these two entered the reception that they were just so in love and so excited to be married.
Sneaky Rosemary got this great shot of Kaitlyn + Tommy holding hands during the prayer 🙂
Kaitlyn + Tommy’s family and friends were there to party! (They actually started dancing before Kaitlyn + Tommy were announced and the band had to get everyone to sit down so we could bring in the bride and groom.) AEG Bands – Carnivale was the band at both of Kaitlyn’s sisters’ weddings and I see why they used them a third time. They kept the party going and everyone dancing!
Congratulations Kaitlyn + Tommy!! I thoroughly enjoyed shooting your wedding and spending the day with the two of you. I love shooting couples that are so clearly in love and meant to be together.
