This wedding has a special place in my heart. At the beginning of the year Katie contacted me to shoot their wedding and apparently one of the things that drew her to my website was the hot pink 🙂 She’s a huge fan of hot pink… you’ll see. But what also made this special was how her family kind of adopted me in for the day. I had shot their engagement session/wedding shower as well, so their family already knew me and even started calling me “Pinky.”
If you remember their engagement session then you’ll remember that Katie’s engagement ring was her grandmother’s.
Katie’s dress was absolutely stunning! I mean look at that pouf!
I love when Brides have someone come and do their hair and makeup instead of traveling somewhere. It saves time since you don’t have to travel and usually its a great time to relax and enjoy getting ready.
Loved the extra detail on her dress.
Look how long that veil is! Beautiful!
This is one of the many reasons you have all the important women in your life as part of your bridal party… so they can surround you all day.
So perfect!
Katie didn’t think getting out of the limo would be very photogenic but I love these next two images.
Time to start!
Love this shot of Katie’s brother walking her down the aisle.
Katie was such a happy bride!
I really, really love this image.
Mr. & Mrs. Belden!
They’re married!
After the ceremony we made our way over to the Wykagyl Country Club for some pictures and the reception.
Aren’t the bridesmaids’ dress the perfect color pink!
Oh my gosh, little boys in suits with bow ties = adorable!
The bonus of shooting on a golf course… golf carts! Jay was pretty happy to drive a golf cart and I loved how Katie’s dress pouffed all up. (Thank you Lisa for getting us the golf carts!)
Cathedral length veils make for some great pictures.
I’m still relatively new to the New York area and am learning all the areas, but the Wykagyl Country Club is beautiful for a wedding. Not only are the grounds beautiful but the inside is equally beautiful and classic.
Katie’s sister, Alene, did the monogram for their cake. Love it and their cake!
Such touching and funny toasts 🙂
I know I said this in their Engagement Session post, but I love how they look at each other.
We went outside around sunset for a couple more pictures.
Another one of my favorites.
Katie, Jay and their guests danced… a lot!
Stolen Moments did an awesome job keeping the party going and everyone on the dance floor!
Congratulations again Katie + Jay! I’m so excited for the two of you and I hope that you love marriage! It’s pretty sweet 🙂
