During the “off season” I’ve been going through the weddings that I helped other photographers shoot. I am so thankful for these girls and that they gave me a chance to help them out and shoot such beautiful weddings. I helped Mekina shoot a couple of really pretty weddings in 2015 and I’m excited to share them!
I traveled with Mekina to Delaware to shoot at the romantic garden of The Waterfall. While Mekina was with the girls, I hung out with the guys.
Sometimes you have to work with what you’ve got : ) I now keep a little pair of scissors in my camera bag.
There’s always that one groomsmen that’s been in enough weddings to know how to tie a bow tie and fold the pocket squares.
The groom gave all of his groomsmen footballs with their names on it since they were on their high school football team together.
Quick game?
The bride + broom did a first look which allowed for plenty of time for portraits.
Awww – love how he’s looking at his bride.
The Waterfall has created a really beautiful garden with so many gorgeous spots for pictures.
I helped Mekina with this wedding in August so the garden was all nice and green : )
We also shot all of the bridal party pictures before the ceremony.
After all the portraits were finished the bridal party was tucked away before the ceremony.
I really love this shot. The bride with her father are always such special moments.
How gorgeous are those bouquets?!?
Love this shot!
Married!
The Bride + Groom had so many cute details at their reception!
This may be one of my favorite wedding cakes! So simple, but so stunning.
The bride + groom made these marquee letters! I may have to make this for my office one day.
This group loved to dance! It was so fun to watch and take pictures… and maybe join in for a dance or two!
Going through all the weddings I helped shoot in 2015 has really made me excited for 2016! I’m ready to get my camera going again : )
Thank you Mekina for allowing me to help you out! I had a great time working with you! Make sure to check out Mekina Saylor Weddings. She does such a great job and I’ve learned so much just from watching her work and interact with her couples.
