Oh I’m so excited to share with you one of my new headshots for today’s 5 on Friday by the wonderful Amy Rizzuto! The pink cherry blossoms were seriously such a dream! They looked like little pink cotton candy clouds : )

Now for this Friday’s 5 questions:

  1. What was the best day of your life and why?
Easily the day I married Benjamin. (We’re coming up on 5 years!) I seriously don’t ever remember being so happy in one day. I smiled and was giddy the entire day : )
  2. What is the first thing you do when you get up in the morning?
I’ve found since I work at home that it’s really good for me to have a routine, otherwise I can plop down in front of the tv and scroll through my phone for hours. It’s hard to have a routine though so I’ve been working on trying not to look at my phone in the morning except to turn off my alarm. I get up and read my devotions and then exercise for about 30-45 minutes. Then I turn on the tv to watch Kelly & Ryan (I don’t know why I like that show so much) while I eat a bowl of cereal and go through my phone and plan my day. It’s a nice relaxing way to start my day.
  3. What is your favorite summertime activity?
Since we finally have a yard this year, I think my favorite this summer will be spending time in the yard working with my plants and eating dinner on our deck. I also love going sailing and going to the Jazz Age Lawn Party.
  4. What is your favorite activity to do on vacation?
I can’t narrow it down to just one activity. I love going for walks on the beach in the evening, collecting shells that I later have a hard time letting go of, building sandcastles and floating in the water. Most of our vacations are with our families so I also love spending time with our family members and catching up with them.
  5. How do you eat your eggs?
Always scrambled with some cheese. My grandma taught me to make them when I was little and it’s one of my favorite things to eat since it’s so simple, but so good!

Happy weekend-ing!
