Meet little Lucy! This precious baby is my best friend’s new baby girl and we’re all so in love with her.

I was so sure that Jess was going to have a baby boy and was really shocked when this little baby was a girl! But oh my gosh is she adorable and perfect!

The three amigas – Jess, Chelsy and I – were finally able to get together in Philadelphia last weekend so we could meet Lucy. Plus we did some newborn portraits to remember this sweet little time when Lucy was so tiny.

It was the perfect little weekend for lots of baby snuggles and catching up. How could you not want to cuddle this perfect little girl?

It always amazes me how small baby fingers and toes are.

Jess and I both attended Penn State together where we both met our husbands. Lucy is the cutest baby Nittany Lion I’ve ever seen!

Jess didn’t love the pink tutu, but Chelsy brought it from when I did Elle’s newborn session. Every little girl needs some pink!

Ted came home in the middle of the session and we had to compensate for the pink tutu. Thank you Chelsy for putting together a Rey Star War’s outfit for Lucy Rey.

Jess is such a wonderful Mommy, she already makes everything all better for Lucy.

Ted is such a wonderful father and knows how to swaddle Lucy nice and tights so she stops crying.

Jess’s mom drove with Chelsy from Pittsburgh so she could see her sweet granddaughter again.

I love newborn portraits because the babies always look so peaceful and sleepy. But the truth is that’s not usually how the portraits go. There’s a lot of diaper changing, feeding, comforting and crying – hopefully only by the baby ; ) – that goes on behind the scenes.

When the babies are awake they make silly little faces.

And sometimes they’re just over the pictures hahaha

But then you get happy babies with smiles that make it all worth it!

Oh I’m so looking forward to watching Little Lucy grow up! You’ll definitely see Lucy make some more appearances on the blog : )
